Hi all,
We’ve had a great week of rehearsals. The students have really worked hard, and thanks to all for coming to the early rehearsal today.
Please remember:
1) Our first home football game is tomorrow, August 26. Call time for all students is 6:00pm since we do not need to get dressed in uniforms. For tomorrow night our “uniform” will be: heck week (Beatles) t-shirt, jeans (no capris, shorts, leggings, spandex, etc.) and gym shoes.
2) Freshmen are only required to participate in the pre-game show, but are encouraged to remain to watch the half-time.
3) Parents must pay the usual admission price to get into the stadium. The varsity game will not begin prior to 7:15pm. It may start later, but if you are in the stands by 7:00pm you will be there in time for the pre-game show.
4) We are not doing a parking lot clean-up this Sunday. Athletics do have a clean-up, not band.
5) Saturday, August 26 there is a rehearsal for all band members in grades 10-12 from 1:00-8:00pm. Freshmen are not to attend.
6) For students that have yet to receive a band t-shirt, they will be distributed during band periods tomorrow.
7) All students need a lyre and flip folder for marching music. They can be purchased from West music.
